Winter may have just ended, but our eyes are still locked on snow…in the wastes of E.D.N III of course. Lost Planet 3 takes us to a time before the original game, when arctic conditions and frozen landscapes still covered the surface of the lost planet. NEVEC is trying to prepare the planet for colonization, and protagonist Jim Peyton is tasked with aiding the operation.

Going back to the snow-ridden combat of the original Lost Planet is an intriguing choice, and one that has us plenty excited. We also have plenty of questions about E.D.N III itself, and being able to see it pre-colonization may give us the answer we seek. We just hope there’s plenty of hot cocoa.

I have never played any of the Lost Planet games but they sure look cool.
